Margaret Fierce

Margaret “Peggy” Lea Fierce, 45, of Clinton, died Thursday at her home.

Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Springdale Cemetery Tuesday. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the service time Tuesday at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Home and Crematory. Burial will be at Springdale Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Jack McGovern, Shorty Bell, Brad Fierce, Chuck Gruver, David Chase, Justin Sagers, Nathan Sagers, Donald Miller Jr., Trevor Miller and Josh Martin.

She was born July 18, 1960, in Iowa City to Kenneth Dean and Georgia Rock Lahmon. She was later adopted by Teresa and Robert Cook.

She was a Clinton High School graduate.

She worked with Wendy’s Old Fashioned Hamburgers for 13 years. She also worked with Ralston Néstlé-Purina.

She attended the Bible Missionary Church, Clinton.

Survivors include two daughters, Jennifer Fierce of Davenport and Teresa Blair of Clinton; two sons, Donald Miller Jr. of Clinton and Trevor Miller of Clinton; brothers, Kenneth Potter of DeWitt, Marl Alsup of DeWitt, Lester Ely of Fulton, Ill., Danny and Johnnie Kuzmicki, both of Oklahoma and Richard Cook of Clinton; one sister, Laurel Lahmon; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews; one great-niece and two great-nephews; and many cousins.

Memorials may be made to the family.

She was preceded in death by her birth parents, adopted mother and one nephew.
