SAN SALVADOR, El Salvador — María Eugenia Pacas, 25, of San Salvador, died Sunday at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City.
Funeral services will be at 8 p.m. Friday at the Law-Jones Funeral Home, Savanna, Ill. The Rev. Wayne R. Carvell, pastor of the Church on the Hill in Savanna, will be officiating. Visitation will be from 7 p.m. until the service time Friday at the funeral home. There will be a fellowship gathering immediately following the service.
She was born June 20, 1980, to Marcos Vinicio Pacas Barrera and Coralia Haydée Miranda de Pacas in San Vicente, El Salvador.
She was a college graduate with a degree in special education.
She taught Sunday school.

Survivors include her parents; two brothers, Marco (Annette) Pacas of Mount Carroll, Ill., and Luis (Bety) Pacas of San Salvador; one sister, Leda Pacas of Savanna; and many nieces and nephews.
