MAQUOKETA — Roberta M. Steines, 78, of Maquoketa and formerly of Preston, died Friday at Genesis Medical Center, DeWitt.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Pape Funeral Home, Clinton, with the Rev. John Stack officiating. Visitation will be from 3 to 6 p.m. today at the funeral home. Burial will be in the St. Irenaeus Calvary Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Mike and Donna Steines, Ron Enlow, Joseph Price, Katie Price and Dorrie and Scott Manon.

She was born Oct. 7, 1927, in Bryant to Jay and Cora Wiess Hand. She married Milton Steines on Oct. 9, 1951, in Bryant. He died in 2003.

She graduated from Miles High School.

She and her husband farmed two family farms in Jackson County.

Survivors include one son, Mike (Donna) Steines of Preston.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one son, one daughter and one brother.
