Garret Lamaack

CHARLOTTE — Garret Lee LaMaack, 42, of Charlotte, died Sunday at Genesis Medical Center, DeWitt.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Schultz Funeral Home, DeWitt. Visitation will be from 2 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Gary and Brent LaMaack, Mike Lawson, Skip Potter, Neil Simmons, Dan McGarvey, and Jarret and Josh LaMaack.

He was born May 22, 1963, to Donald Kenneth and Ida Mae Ireland LaMaack. He married Cary Voss on May 22, 1998, in Clinton.

He was employed with Shaw Electric, Davenport, for 15 years where he worked as an electrician at IPSCO, Clinton.

Survivors include his wife; daughters, Whitney of Calamus and Alexandria at home; three sons, Jarret of Calamus and Walker and Fisher, both at home; one grandchild; sisters, Mrs. Phyllis (Neil) Simmons of Bettendorf, Mrs. Diane (David) Covington of Bennett, Mrs. Shirley (Robert) Wilkins of Bennett, Mrs. Caryl (Raymond) Cole of Durant and Mrs. Wendy (Daniel) McGarvey of Bettendorf; brothers, Dennis (Martha) LaMaack of Washington state, Gary LaMaack of Davenport and Brent (Kelly) LaMaack of Charlotte; his mother-in-law, Mrs. Joni (Lawrence) Kendall of Bettendorf; father-in-law, Skip Potter of Calamus; grandmother-in-law, Jane Ackerman of Bettendorf; and seven nieces, 12 nephews and many great-nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be left to the family.
