Neal Carroll

FULTON, Ill. — Neal Carroll, 81, of Fulton, died Sunday at his home.

Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Fulton Township Cemetery. There will be no visitation. The Fulton Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Interment will be in the Fulton Township Cemetery.

He was born Aug. 6, 1924, in Fort Creek, Ky., to Alex and Rhoda Davis Carroll. He married Erma J. Van Kampen on March 14, 1947, in Fulton. She died in 1966.

He was a veteran of World War II serving with the U.S. Army.

He was employed with the Curtis Co., Clinton; Volckman’s Furniture Factory, Morrison, Ill.; Chicago and Northwestern Railroad, Clinton; and the former Patent Novelty Co., Fulton.

He was a member of the Savanna V.F.W. Post.

Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Brenda (Gary) Pruis of Morrison, Ill.; two sons, Jimmy (Vicki) Carroll and Terry (Kathy) Carroll, both of Morrison; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Mrs. Rachel Wiersema of Morrison and Mrs. Mossie (Don) Flanders of La Mirada, Calif.
