Harry Housenga

CAMANCHE — Harry Housenga, 53, of Camanche, died Saturday at his home.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Lemke Funeral Homes, South Chapel, 2600 Lincoln Way. The Rev. Jon Nienhuis will be officiating. Burial will be in the Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Bob Winter, Aldy Skarin, Kip Opheim, Mike Kelly, Terry Housenga and Ron Humlick.

He was born July 1, 1952, in Morrison, Ill., to Harold and Dorothy Smith Housenga. He married Jill Rowan on March 31, 1981.

He received his CDL from Scott Community College.

He was employed with International Paper for 29 years. He also was employed with CRST International, Schnieder National and Archer Daniels Midland, Camanche.

Survivors include his wife; one daughter, Mrs. Brenda (Patrick) Stock of Camanche; two sons, Joseph Housenga of Camanche and Nathan (Cristin) Housenga of Fort Hood, Texas; one grandchild; one brother, Rollin Housenga of Greenfield, Ind.; and one sister, Mrs. Roberta (Joe) Randall of Savanna, Ill.

Memorials may be made to the family.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister.

Death Date: Dec. 17, 2005
