CHARLOTTE — Tammy Sue Ketelsen Shirley, 42, of Charlotte, died Friday.

Visitation was at the Schultz Funeral Home, DeWitt, Sunday. Service of Christian Burial was Monday at Grace Lutheran Church, DeWitt. The Rev. Garland Gotoski and Landon Becker officiated. Interment was in the Elmwood Cemetery, DeWitt.

Pallbearers were nephews, Christopher Hartmann, B.J., Ben, Brian, Seth and Brent Blanchard, Allen Ketelsen, Andrew Gisel; Adam Assenmacher; nieces and nephews, Abbey and Maggie Hartmann, Rebecca Gisel, Amber Roling, Nicole Nissen and Ryan and Tyler Ketelsen.

She was born March 9, 1963, in Clinton to Ronald and Betty Jo Ketelsen. She married Charles Shirley on April 30, 1988.

She attended Northeast schools and graduated in 1981. She attended college in Durango, Colo.

She worked at Community Care, Charlotte. She also was employed with Wal-Mart and completed its management program in July.

Survivors include her husband; five children, Alicia Ann, Robert David, Matthew Charles, Brittni Jo and Lindsey Elizabeth; her parents; two sisters, Mrs. Carmen (Dennis) Gisel and Mrs. Mitzie (Bill) Blanchard; two brothers, Travis (JoEllen) and Tory (Paula) Ketelsen; and several nieces, nephews, aunts and cousins.
