DEWITT - Ray S. Evans, 68, of DeWitt, died Tuesday at Genesis Medical Center, DeWitt.

Visitation will be at the Schultz Funeral Home, DeWitt, from 10 to 11:45 a.m. Saturday. Funeral services will be at noon Saturday at the funeral home. The Rev. Jim Kledis will be officiating.

He was born June 11, 1937, in Grand View to Ernest and Rachael Seitz Evans. He married Patricia Jessie on Sept. 5, 1958, in Muscatine.

He worked with the J.I. Case Co. until retirement in 1992.

Survivors include his wife; three sons, Andy Evans of Atlanta, David (Roberta) Evans of Rock Island, Ill., and Joseph (Julie) Evans of Cedar Rapids; two daughters, Mrs. Rayetta (Abe) Fox and Barbara Evans, both of DeWitt; his mother, Rachael Moore of Muscatine; 17 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and five sisters, Mrs. Ruth (Richard) Campbell of Florida, Mrs. Patty (Glenn) Maylone and Mrs. Martha (John) Johnson, both of Muscatine, and Mrs. Ruby (Robert) Wheeler and Mrs. Roberta (Junior) Briggs, both of Letts.
