CLINTON - Charles F. Somor, 91, of Clinton, died Monday at the Alverno Health Care Facility, Clinton.

Funeral services will be at the Prince of Peace Parish Sacred Heart Catholic Church on Saturday at 10:30 a.m. with the Rev. Thomas Hennen officiating. Visitation will be at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Home and Crematory on Saturday from 9:30 a.m. until the service time. Burial will be in Springdale Cemetery, Clinton.

He was born Jan. 4, 1914, in Pozsony, Hungary, to Andras and Ilona Klein Szomor. He married Margaret Hudecz on May 31, 1942, in Budapest, Hungary. They immigrated to the United States in 1957 and moved to Clinton in 1958.

He was a member of the Prince of Peace Parish.

He was employed as an accountant with the Interstate Power Co. for more than 22 years before retiring in 1979.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Andrew (Kathi) Somor of Palatine, Ill., and Laszlo Szomor of Pierre, S.D.; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister.
