Marie Banowetz 05/06/1999 DeWITT, Iowa -- Services for Marie C. Banowetz, of DeWitt, will be 1 p.m. Saturday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, DeWitt. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, DeWitt. Visitation is 3-8 p.m. Friday at Schultz Funeral Home, DeWitt, with a rosary at 4 p.m. and a scripture service at 8 p.m. Mrs. Banowetz died Tuesday, May 4, 1999, at Davenport Medical Center. Marie Lehnertz was born June 18, 1912, in Sugar Creek. She married Edward Banowetz in 1939 in Sugar Creek. They farmed in the Welton area until 1969. Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Janice Bormann, Preston; sons, James, Spragueville, and Eugene, Charlotte; 19 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.
