Jayne Gruwell 03/05/1999 DeWITT, Iowa -- Services for Jayne Anne Gruwell, of DeWitt, will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. John's United Methodist Church, Davenport. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery, DeWitt, at a later date. Visitation is 3-8 p.m. today at Schultz Funeral Home, DeWitt. Mrs. Gruwell died Wednesday, March 3, 1999. She had worked as a commercial lines insurance underwriter at Iowa Mutual Insurance Co., DeWitt. Jayne Barnhill was born Aug. 6, 1948, in Ottumwa. She married Larry Gruwell in 1967 in Wahiawa, Hawaii. Memorials may be made to the Jane Anne Gruwell Scholarship Fund. Survivors include her husband; her parents, Ernest "Barney" and Marion Barnhill, Ankney; a sister, Stacey Barnhill, Cheney, Wash.; and brothers, Dr. Mark Barnhill, West Des Moines, and Blaine Barnhill, Omaha, Neb.
