Frank Klauer 01/23/1999 DeWITT, Iowa -- Frank B. Klauer, of DeWitt, died Friday, Jan. 22, 1999, at Manor Care Health Services, Davenport. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, DeWitt. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, DeWitt. Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Sunday at Schultz Funeral Home, DeWitt, with a rosary at 6 p.m. recited by the Knights of Columbus, and a Scripture service at 8 p.m. Mr. Klauer owned and operated the former Klauer's Cafe, DeWitt, for 14 years. Before his retirement in 1992, he operated the Iowa State Liquor Store and had worked in maintenance at DeWitt Community Hospital. He was born Nov. 13, 1907, in Davenport. He married Margaret Gasseling in 1935 in Davenport. She died in 1992. Memorials may be made to the church or health care center. Survivors include a daughter, Suzanne Gannon, Delmar; a son, Robert, Flower Mound, Texas; seven grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
