Ralph Hamann 01/21/1999 LOST NATION, Iowa -- Services for Ralph H. Hamann, of Lost Nation, formerly of Calamus and Maquoketa, will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Lost Nation. Burial will be in Buckhorn Cemetery, rural Maquoketa. Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Mr. Hamann died Tuesday, Jan. 19, 1999, at his home. He farmed until 1981 in the Calamus area. He was born Feb. 4, 1920, in Maquoketa. He married Marvel Behne in 1940 in Lost Nation. Memorials may be made to Clinton Visiting Nurse Association Hospice. Survivors include his wife; daughters, Lois Matzen, DeWitt, and Donna Dosland, Lost Nation; a son, Roger, Davenport; seven grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; nine step-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Esther Manning, Maquoketa.
