The Clinton Daily Herald Wednesday September 1, 1909 p. 6 At four o'clock yesterday afternoon, at his home near Bryant, occurred the death of John Schadgt, a well known resident of Clinton county. Death was due to stomach trouble of several weeks duration. Mr. Schagdt was born in Schleswig, Germany, June 14, 1841. When a youth he came to this country, making his home for many years previous to his death on his farm near Bryant. He leaves to mourn his loss three sons and five daughters. The funeral will take place at one o'clock Friday afternoon with interment in the Dierks cemetery.
