The Clinton Herald Thursday April 7, 1977 p. 12 Mrs. Mary (Pauline) Root, 82, Plainwell, Mich., died Tuesday after a long illness. The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday in Marsholl-Gren Funeral Home, Plainwell. A graveside service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Oakland Cemetery, Clinton. She was born June 9, 1894, in Clinton, the daughter of Clyde and Ada Sutton. She married Ralph Root, who died in 1963. Survivors include a granson and two great-grandchildren.
