The Clinton Herald Friday October 7, 1994 p. 11 Ralph J. Joens, 68, of 106 S. 5th St., died Wednesday at Samaritan North. The funeral will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Cannon Funeral Home with the Rev. William King officiating. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home, where a Blue Lodge Masonic service will be conducted by past master Robert Wright of Lyons Masonic Lodge No. 93 at 7 p.m. Burial will be at Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Pat Barrett, Chris Eichemier, Richard Holm, Bruce Kamer, Charles Thomas, and Robert Wright. Mr. Joens was born March 4, 1926, in Clinton County to Hans and Carrie Stolk Joens. He was educated in Goose Lake schools and was a 1943 high school graduate of former Goose Lake High School. He married Lola Zastrow, June 15, 1947, in Clinton County. He was employed as a plate room supervisor for Champion Dairypak Corporation for 27 years. Mr. Joens was a member of Lyons Masonic Lodge 93 where he was a past master and secretary. He was also a member of Kaaba Shrine of Davenport, bowled for many years and attended several state bowling tournaments. Survivors include his wife and a son, Albert Jones of Redmond, Wash. He was preceded in death by his parents. Death date: October 7, 1994.
