The Clinton Herald Thursday February 17, 1972 p. 12 Miss Susan Mary McEleney, 23, died Wednesday morning of an apparent overdose of pills at the Eleanor Parkway Club in Chicago, a residence for professional women. The Mass of the Resurrection will be said at 11 a.m. Saturday in St. Patrick's Church. A prayer service will precede the funeral mass at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in the Delaney Funeral Home, where friends may call after 4 p.m. Friday. Members of St. Patrick's Parish will meet at 8 p.m. Friday in the funeral home for recitation of the Rosary. Burial will be in St. Irenaeus Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Joseph W. Brick, Joseph Cossman, Alan H. Mayer, Marvin D. Ohsann, John H. Root and Everett A. Streit. Miss McEleney was born May 1, 1948, in Clinton, the daughter of Warren J. and Ellen O'Neil McEleney. She was reared and educated in Clinton. She graduated from Mt. St. Clare Academy, and attended Rosary College in River Forest, Ill. She was a member of St. Patrick's Church. Survivors include her parents; five brothers, Thomas R., John P., Daniel J., Edward F. and William L., all at home; one sister, Anne E. McEleney, at home; and her maternal grandmother, Mrs. Joseph T. O'Neil of Clinton. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents and her maternal grandmother.
