The Clinton Herald Saturday March 8, 1913 p. 8 Mrs. Eunice McEleney passed away Saturday morning at 8:30 o'clock at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Thomas Cawley, residing in 309 South Third street, death being the result of an eight weeks' illness. She had been failing the last five years, but the fatal illness came a short time ago. She was 76 years old. Funeral services will be held at St. Irenaeus church Monday morning, Rev. James Comerford officaiting. Interment will be in Calvary cemetery. Mrs. McEleney had lived in this county for fifty-eight years, coming to Boston she was married to William McEleney, coming to Lyons in 1867, her husband passing away three years later. During the last years of her life she had made her home with her children, all of whom reside in the city. To mourn her death are left three children, John W. McEleney, Mrs. William Behlke and Mrs. Thomas Cawley, all residing in this city. Three other children born to her died in infancy. She leaves on brother, Patrick Ruddy, of Lyons, and thirteen grandchildren as mourners. During the course of the many years she has lived in the city she has made many true and loving friends, all of whom hear of her death with regret.
