The Clinton Herald Monday April 1, 1963 p. 8 John Bott, 85, who had been making his home with his daughter, Mrs. Elmer Schoel of Route 2, Clinton, died at 2:45 a.m. today in Mercy Hospital. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Shadduck funeral home. Burial will be in Oakland cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 p.m. today. He was born Oct. 6, 1877 in Clinton, the son of Peter and Anna Joens Bott. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church. Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Elmer (Leona) Schoel of Clinton, one grandson and one brother, Hans of Clinton. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, two brothers and two sisters.
