The Clinton Herald Monday September 14, 1959 p. 11 Frank J. McEleney, 50, of Nelsen,Ill., formerly of Clinton, died at 2 a.m. Saturday in Home hospital, Sterling, Ill. where he had been a patient since Aug. 8. The funeral mass will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday in Sacred Heart church. Burial will be in St. Irenaeus Calvary cemetery, Clinton. The body is in the Matt Grennan and Sons funeral home, Sterling, where friends may call. Frank J. McEleney was born Feb. 26, 1909, in Clinton, the son of Michael and Bridget McEleney. He was married in Sterling to Helen Veith, Dec. 12, 1953 in Scared Heart church by Rev. John McGrath. Survivors include the widow, 3 brothers, William and Howard of Clinton and Louis of Tacoma, Wash.; 2 sisters, Mrs. Mary Bruhn of Clinton and Mrs. Alicia Goldsberry of Des Moines, several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and 1 brother, Edward.
