The Clinton Herald Saturday March 28, 1970 p. 10 Mrs. Mary Katherine Cossman, 81, of 3816 N. 3rd St., died today in the Mt. Alverno Home. The funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday in St. Irenaeus Catholic Church. Revs. William O'Connor of St. Irenaeus and Walter McEleney of St. Paul the Apostle Church of Davenport will officiate. Pallbearers will be Robert Coleman, William Klahn, Kenneth Ruesche, Everett Streit, Walter Meyer and Louis Emster. Burial will be in St. Irenaeus Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call after 7 p.m. today in the Pape funeral home where a rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Sunday by parish members and Catholic Order of Foresters. Mary McEleney was born Aug. 31, 1888 in Clinton, the daughter of Patrick and Susan McEleney. She married Mr. Leonard H. Cossman Nov. 24, 1914 in Clinton. She was a life-time member of St. Irenaeus and a 50-year member of the Women's Catholic Order of Foresters. Survivors include two sons, Leonard F. and Joseph E., both of Clinton; a daughter, Mrs. Russell (Lucille) Busk of Clinton; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband and three brothers.
