Robert F. Bossier

THOMSON, Ill. — Robert F. Bossier, 75, of Thomson and formerly of Chicago, died Saturday at Mercy South Hospital.

There will be a memorial visitation at the Law Jones Funeral Home, Thomson, from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday. The Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Home and Crematory was in charge of cremation services in Clinton.

He was born April 10, 1930, in Chicago to Frederick R. and Marie M. Jursa Bossier. He married Barbara J. Barker in 1952 in Chicago. She died in 2003.

He was a U.S. Army veteran serving with the 101st Airborne Division in the Korean War.

He was self-employed as a carpenter before retiring in 1995.

Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Terri L. (Michael) DiBartolo of Chicago; five sons, Robert E. Bossier and Mark R. Bossier, both of Chicago, James F. (Colleen) Bossier of Cary, Ill., Ronald J. Bossier of Crystal Lake, Ill., and Thomas E. Bossier of Roselle, Ill.; and six grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.

He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, two brothers and one sister.
