The Clinton Herald Mrs. John M. (Dorathy) Waldorf, 56, of 3810 Lakewood Drive, died Friday at Mercy hospital. The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Stephen's Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Eugene Henry officiating. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery. Visitation will from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday at Pape Funeral Home and from 9:30 a.m. Monday until the funeral hour at the church. Pallbearers will be former students of Mrs. Waldorf. Mrs. Waldorf was born Nov. 2, 1924, in Clinton to Roy A. and Marie Madsen Struve. She married John M. Waldorf July 9, 1961, in Clinton. She was a graduate of Lyons High School, Mount St. Clare College and the University of Kentucky. For the past 31 years, she taught school in the Clinton Community School system, and also had taught for three years in Clinton County Schools. She was a member of the Clinton Education Association, Iowa State Education Association, the National Education Association and St. Stephen's Lutheran Church. Survivors include her husband; her mother, Mrs. Marie Struve; a brother, Roy J. Struve, Clinton; five step-sons, Richard S. Waldorf, Cordova, Ill., John D., James, Eugene, and Thomas Waldorf, Clinton; and 14 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father.
