Ida Washburn
DEWITT — Ida J. Washburn, 88, of DeWitt, died Thursday at Genesis Medical Center, DeWitt.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Schultz Funeral Home, DeWitt. The Rev. Sarah Kretzmann will be officiating. Burial will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery, Calamus. Visitation will be from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
She was born Dec. 31, 1916, in New Effington, S.D., to Josephine and Iver Quaal. She married George Washburn on Feb. 20, 1943.
She attended school in South Dakota and went on to beauty school.
She was a stylist until her marriage.
She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church, Calamus, New Hope Support Group, hospital auxiliary and the American Legion Auxiliary of Calamus.
Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Mary Ann (Bob) Stuedemann of Clinton and Nancy (Allan) Elias of Davenport; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
