Orville Fierce 12/02/1998 CAMANCHE, Iowa -- Services for Orville M. Fierce, of Camanche, will be 2:30 p.m. Thursday at Runge Mortuary and Crematory, Davenport. Burial will be in Davenport Memorial Park. Visitation is 4-8 p.m. today at the mortuary. Mr. Fierce died Sunday, Nov. 29, 1998, at Veterans Administration Medical Center, Iowa City, after an extended illness. He retired after 25 years at W.G. Block Co. He was born Nov. 5, 1922, in Davenport. He married Phyllis Shoens in 1946 in Davenport. She died in 1994. During World War II, he served in the Army. Memorials may be made to the family. Survivors include sons, Orville J. and Bradley W., both of Camanche; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; sisters, Evelyn Williams, of Texas, and Dorothy Van Cleve, Davenport; and a brother, Woodferd, Davenport.
