Bonita Helen Ion 01/05/2005 CLINTON, Iowa -- Bonita Helen Ion, of Clinton, Iowa, died Monday, January 3, 2005, in Midland, Mich. Services will be 11 a.m. Friday, January 7, at Community of Christ Church. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, January 6, 2005, at Clinton Chapel of Snell-Zornig-Dennis A. Lemke Funeral Home & Crematory. Pallbearers will be her grandchildren. Burial will be in the Clinton Lawn Cemetery. She was born Wednesday, Sept. 17, 1924, in Lamoni, Iowa, the daughter of James W. and Maud (Baggerly) Guilliams. She was educated in the Decatur County, Iowa, schools. She married William G. Ion on November 22, 1941, in Bethany, Mo. He died September 15, 1999. Bonita was a medical receptionist for Dr. Kaack's office for many years. She was a member of the Community of Christ Church and was a member of the Royal Neighbors Of America. Survivors include her son, Larry G., and his wife, Kathy Ion, of Princeton, Iowa; her daughter, Terry, and her husband, Dale Koppenhaver, of Clinton; her daughter, Elizabeth, and her husband, Steve Goff, of Midland, Mich.; 10 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; her sister, Doris Needham, of Ft. Smith, Ark.; and her sister, Madelene, and her husband, Ben Garvey, of Minneapolis. In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by one great-grandson, five brothers and five sisters. Memorials may be made to the Community of Christ Church.
