Stella Story

DEWIT — Stella B. Story, 84, of DeWitt, died Monday at the Iowa Masonic Health Facility, Bettendorf.

Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Schultz Funeral Home, DeWitt. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at First Congregational United Church of Christ, DeWitt. The Rev. Pete Hagglund will be officiating. Interment will be in the Elmwood Cemetery, DeWitt.

Pallbearers will be Dana and Dean King, Jim and Ken Mickey Jr., David Niles, Christopher Mickey, Randy Rutledge, Kelly, Marsha, Mallory, Mitchell, Nikole, Shanna and Tyler Story and Jennifer and Andrew King.

She was born April 15, 1921, in Letts to Adolphus and Mabel Levsen Mickey. She married Robert Story on July 13, 1938, in Maquoketa. She and her husband lived in Chicago and moved to Welton in 1944. They moved to DeWitt in 1946. He died in 1980.

She was a member of First Congregational United Church of Christ, DeWitt.

Survivors include three sons, Robert (Judy) Story of Middleton, Wis., Keith Story of Davenport and Lauren (Linda) Story of Morrison, Ill.; one daughter, Linda Terrill of Davenport; 10 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one brother, Kenneth (Madelyn) Mickey of Welton; one sister-in-law, Mildred Niles of Buffalo; and nieces and nephews.
