Kenneth Cooper

Kenneth Lyle Cooper, 90, of Hanover, Ill., died Thursday at Mercy Medical Center, Dubuque.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Law-Jones Funeral Home, Hanover, with the Rev. Christopher Kuhn of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Hanover, officiating. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

He was born Oct. 27, 1915, to Clarence and Edna Glascock Cooper in Thomson, Ill. He married Mildred Dean in Paris, Texas, on Oct. 12, 1943.

He was a 1933 graduate of Thomson High School.

He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

He worked at the Savanna (Ill.) Army Depot for 36 years. He retired as a supervisor in the Special Weapons Division.

Survivors include his wife, Mildred; one son, Albert "Jake" (Luba) Cooper of Lincoln, Neb.; three grandchildren; and one brother, Raymond Cooper of Savanna.

Memorials may be made to Hanover VFW Post 5300, the Hanover Veterans Memorial Fund or the Hanover Ambulance Association.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister.
