James E. Underwood

NEW ORLEANS — James E. Underwood, 41, of New Orleans and formerly of Clinton, died Sept. 7 at his home.

Funeral services were conducted Oct. 20 in New Orleans. There will be a private family service and burial in Clinton at a later date. The Westside/Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

He was born Jan. 30, 1964, in Honolulu to Diane and Joseph Underwood. He grew up in Eugene, Ore. He spent most of his adult life in the New Orleans area.

Survivors include his mother; three brothers, Verne (Maria) of Medford, Ore., Steve of Brookings, Ore., and Jerry of Colorado Springs, Colo.; one sister, Mrs. Rebecca (Vladimir) Kazberouk of Cedar Rapids; his grandmother, Melba Westgate of Eugene; and uncles, aunts, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father and grandfathers.
