Richard Annear

CLINTON — Richard “Slip” Annear, 76, of Clinton, died Monday Nov. 7, 2005 in Clinton.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Home with the Rev. James Machen Jr. officiating. Burial will be in the Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Curtis Farley, Randy Annear, Ronald Annear, Tom Tietjens, Mike Haley, Dave Jargo, Doug Farley, Don Farley, Steve Tietjens and Dave Brown.

He was born April 11, 1929, in Clinton to Morris and Eva Kruse Annear. He married Loleta Farley on June 15, 1950, in Tipton.

He was a 1949 graduate of Clinton High School.

He was employed with DuPont before retiring after more than 30 years of service. He also worked in maintenance at McEleney Autocenter. He also tended bar at Gene’s, Fulton, Ill., and the 2x4, Clinton.

He was a member of Clinton Moose Lodge 363.

Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Mrs. Judy (Richard) Griebel of Camanche, Susan Annear of Seattle and Mrs. Tammy (John) Millsap of Cedar Rapids; two sons, Jeffrey Annear of Camanche and Daniel Annear of Seattle; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; three brothers, Russell (Darlene) Annear of Clinton, Sam Annear of Dexter and Raymond Annear of Las Cruces, N.M.; and several nieces and nephews.

The family requests that memorials be made to the family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter and one son-in-law.
