MORRISON, Ill. - Mary E. Planthaber, 89, of the Four Seasons Living Center in Morrison, died Sunday at Morrison Community Hospital.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Morrison Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home with the Rev. Randy Osborn, pastor of the Living Bread Fellowship in Sterling, Ill., officiating. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Morrison Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home. Interment will be in the Grove Hill Cemetery, Morrison.

She was born May 31, 1916, in Thomson, Ill., to Charles W. and Margie Martindale Reynolds.

She was educated in Thomson grade and high schools.

She married Carl J. Planthaber Sr. on March 10, 1934, in Morrison. He died in 1970.

She was employed with General Electric, Morrison, for 17 years. Following retirement, she worked with Carpenters Bakery, Morrison. She also worked as a tour guide with R.C. Smith Transportation, Morrison.

She was a member of Illinois Evangelistic Alliance Inc., Moline, Ill., and the G.E.M. Club, Morrison.

Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Barb (Don) Skibbe, Mrs. Sue (Cal) Wing and Carlene Chapman, all of Morrison; one son, Carl J. (Wanda) Planthaber Jr. of Camanche; one son-in-law, Doran Everly of Rock Falls, Ill.; 13 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, one daughter, one grandchild, two sisters and three brothers.
