Funeral services for George F. Stahl, 90, were held at DeWitt May 16 with the Rev. Fred Pierce of the DeWitt United Methodist church officiating. Burial was in Elwood cemetery.

Mr. Stahl died in Naples, Fla. May 13 where he had lived since 1972.

The son of George and Minnie Meggers Stahl, he was born in DeWitt Jan. 14, 1897. He was married to Laretta McCutton in Davenport Dec. 5, 1946. She died in 1961. He was married to Anna Mcdaniels Clark in Columbia, Mo. June 6, 1966. She died in 1981.

Mr. Stahl at one time sold equipment for the Stahl Implement Co., DeWitt. He was a member of the DeWitt Moose lodge.

He is survived by a stepson, Charles Clark and 3 step-grandchildren. He is the uncle of Wilma Schwitzer and Ernest and Elmer Kunde and had spent several summers with the Schwitzers. He was preceded in death by 4 sisters and 7 brothers.
