Funeral services for Mrs. Melvin (Hazel) Klahn, 78, Wheatland, were held at St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Wheatland, May 23 with burial in Pine Hill cemetery, Wheatland. Pallbearers were David Russ, Gary Klahn, Ross Kleppe, Gary Oliphant, Gilbert Schocker and Everett Esbaum. Anne Kleppe was soloist and Marge Wiebel, organist.

Mrs. Klahn died at St. Luke's hospital, Davenport, May 20.

Hazel Endorf was married to Melvin Klahn in Wheatland in 1934. She was a member of Garland chapter, the Order of the Eastern Star, Wheatland and St. Paul's United Church of Christ.

She is survived by her husband; 2 daughters, Mrs. George (Bethel) Russ, Wheatland and Mrs. Verle (Nancy) Kleppe, Bennett; 2 sons, Alden, Clarence and James, Wheatland; 10 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
