CLINTON — Robert “Bob” E. Baker, 68, of Clinton, died Thursday Oct. 20, 2005, at Mercy North Hospital.

A private family gathering will be held. The Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of arrangements. Burial of the cremains will be at a later date.

He was born Jan. 26, 1937, in Clinton to Robert L. and Mildred Lass Baker. He married Judith Hollingshead on April 15, 1956, in Clinton.

He attended the Clinton schools.

He was a U.S. Army veteran serving in Korea.

He was employed for 33 years as an agent with Ozark and TWA airlines before retiring in 1999. He was employed with the Department of Parks and Recreation for five years.

Survivors include his wife; sons, Scott Baker of St. Louis and Stacy Gordon (Ann) Baker of Firebaugh, Calif.; six grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; his mother, Millie Baker Stange of Clinton; one sister, Mrs. Karen (Larry) Groh of Clinton; and many nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to the family at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Home.

He was preceded in death by his father, two stepfathers, one brother and one sister.

Death Date: Oct. 20, 2005
