CLINTON — Bertha “Billie” A. Stuer, 77, of Clinton, died Wednesday Oct. 19, 2005, at the Alverno Health Care Facility, Clinton.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at First United Methodist Church, Clinton, with Dennis Glew officiating. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Clinton Lawn Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be David and Tom Stuer, Todd and Tom Yopst, Phil Edwards and Keith Wallace.

She was born Dec. 13, 1927, in Albany, Ill., to Clarence and Nora Edith Emmert Yopst. She married Norbert “Herb” Stuer on Sept. 20, 1946, at First United Methodist Church, Clinton. He died in 1997.

She attended school in Albany and Clinton.

She was active at First United Methodist Church and was involved in many different ministry groups.

Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Tami (Keith) Wallace of Flowery Branch, Ga.; one son, Michael (Stephanie) Stuer of Nashville, Tenn.; one brother, Tom (Noreen) Yopst of Dekalb, Ill.; one brother-in-law, Henry Stuer of Clinton; one cousin; and six grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and one sister.

Death Date: Oct. 19, 2005
