Shirley Thiede, 68, of DeWitt, died Saturday Oct. 1, 2005, at the Mayo Clinic, Rochester, MN.

Visitation will be at the Schultz Funeral Home, DeWitt, from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday. Service of Christian Burial is at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Grace Lutheran Church, DeWitt. The Rev. Keith Speaks will be officiating. Interment will be in the Elmwood Cemetery, DeWitt.

She was born July 3, 1937, in Wheatland to Raymond and Norma Carraher. She married Fred Thiede Jr. on Aug. 31, 1958, at Grace Lutheran Church.

She and her husband farmed in rural DeWitt.

She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church.
