Vicki Dawn Mahan passed away just six days short of her 81st Birthday on May 22, 2024, in Osage Beach, Missouri.

Vicki was born in Clinton, Iowa, to Alberta and Kenneth Hugunin and raised in Camanche, Iowa.

Vicki has lived in Missouri near her daughter (Lisa) for the last 3 1/2 years. For a small-town Iowa Girl - Vicki experienced life with excitement and wonder. She was a Radio DJ at 15 years old with her best friend Mary Lou VanKampen for KROS and the Radio Program was called Tunes for Teens. Vicki and her cousin Randa McApline wrote 2 songs together - "No Letter Today" and "Stop, Look and Listen." She traveled from one coast to the other, enjoyed cruises to exotic places and experienced scenic Maui by helicopter. She spent nearly 30 years in one of her favorite places, Sunny Florida. Like so many of us, she enjoyed the simple pleasures of reading, going to the movie theater and spending time with her family. She had the quickest, driest and sharpest WIT around!

Vicki decided in her 50's she always had a passion for Flowers and went back to college to get a Degree in Floral Design. She opened her very own little Floral Shop right from her home. She decided to associate with all the Realtors in the area and did all their Open House Floral Arrangements and even their Housewarming Arrangements.

Vicki faced so many serious health struggles in her life, she met each one with courage and grace. She was a Second Time Cancer Survivor. Her bravery was an inspiration to so many.

Vicki was survived by her daughter and son-in-law Lisa and Rick Griffin (Missouri), Grandson Taylor Murray (Iowa), son Jeff Stevenson (Florida), sister and brother-in-law Trudy and Joel Masden (Kansas), sister Laurel Sherwood (Oregon), nephew Mitchell Sherwood (Oregon) and niece Melissa Sherwood (Oregon) and Ian Sherwood (Oregon) and many more cousins throughout the country.

Vicki was preceded in death by her husband Jack Mahan, her mother and father Alberta and Kenneth Hugunin, maternal and paternal grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins and hundreds of close friends.

There are so many in this world who will miss you, Vicki. We toast your life well lived, Peace.
