Alice MacAllister
1916 - 2005

Alice Marie MacAllister, 89, of Clinton, Iowa, died Saturday, July 30, 2005, at the Alverno Health Care Facility, Clinton. Services will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church on Wednesday, August 3, 2005, at 10:30 a.m. There will be no public visitation. The Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Burial will be in the St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, in Clinton.
Alice was born May 8, 1916, in Clinton, the daughter of John and Agnes (Musel) Chekal. She was a St. Mary's High School graduate. Alice married Dr. Robert V. MacAllister on Sept. 5, 1939, in Clinton. He died Nov. 7, 1987.
Alice was a homemaker. She was a lifelong member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and Prince of Peace Parish. She was a member of P. E. O. Chapter J N, she was active with the Mercy Auxiliary, Clinton Country Club, and the Ladies Bridge Club. She was also very helpful to her friends.
Survivors include her sister, Mary Brown, of Clinton; her bother, Allen (Betty) Chekal, of Clinton; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband her parents, four brothers and a sister preceded her in death.
