Louis P. Ruocco age 87, of Clinton, died Wednesday, October 5, 2005 at the Eagle Point Nursing Home. According to his wishes cremation rites have been accorded. A celebration of Louis' life will take place at 3:00 P.M. on Friday, October 14, 2005 at Christ Episcopal Church, north site, 2100 No. 2nd St. in Clinton with the Rev. Sue Eades officiating. A reception will follow the service in the church fellowship area. The Pape Funeral Home is assisting the family.

Louis was born on December 17, 1917 in New York, New York, the son of Antonio and Ada Cheetham Ruocco. Louis graduated from Commerce High School in New York and received an Associates Degree in Advertising from New York University. Louis married Mildred Toussaint on April 28, 1943 in Boston. He was a mechanic servicing B-24 and B-29 bombers with the Army Air Corps during WW II. Louis was a commercial artist and photoengraver with various agencies in northern New Jersey until his retirement. Louis and Mildred moved to Clinton in 2000. He was a member of Christ Episcopal Church and the American Legion. While living in Montclair, New Jersey Louis and Mildred were members of St. Luke's Episcopal Church actively working at Tony's Kitchen and the Second Time Around Shop. He belonged to the YMCA and did volunteer work with the American Red Cross. Louis was an avid San Francisco Giants fan. He enjoyed stamp collecting, playing tennis, and deep sea fishing.

Louis is survived by his wife Mildred; a daughter, Carolyn (Mrs. Willard) Grimes of Clinton; a granddaughter, Diana Grimes studying in Lexington, Virginia and a cousin, Anne (Mrs. Richard) Barber of Belleville, Ontario, Canada He was preceded in death by his parents. Memorials may be made to Christ Episcopal Church.
