Jeannette May Dalton, 91, of Clinton, Iowa, died Saturday, June 4, 2005, at Mercy Medical Center-North Campus, in Clinton. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 7, 2005, at Prince of Peace, St. Mary's Catholic Church, Clinton. Visitation will be from 4-7p.m. Monday, June 6, 2005, at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig-Dennis A. Lemke Funeral Home & Crematory. Burial will be in the Clinton Lawn Cemetery.
Jeannette was born Jan. 7, 1914, in Clinton, the daughter of Charles E. and Marie C. (May) Thiesen. She was a 1931 Clinton High School graduate. She married George Vincent "Vinnie" Dalton on May 16, 1941, in Clinton. He died Dec. 19, 1975. She was a homemaker.
Jeannette was a member of Prince of Peace Parish, the Alter and Rosary Society and the Daughters of Isabella.
Survivors include her daughters, Patricia (Alan) Doyne, of Hayward, Calif., Margy (Bill) Dobbelaere, of Bettendorf, and Diane Dalton, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; her son, Jim (Pat) Dalton, of Bettendorf; six grandchildren, Mark Doyne, Kevin Doyne, Glen Doyne, Jodie Nelson, Brian Dobbelaere and Abby Dalton; two great-grandchildren, Jackson Nelson and Theo Nelson; and her sister, Shirley DeLoe, of Clinton.
In addition to her husband, her parents preceded her in death.
Memorials may be made to the Sarah Harding Home or to Prince of Peace Parish.
