Mary Jacqueline "Jackie" Keister, 74, of Clinton, Iowa, died Tuesday, May 24, 2005, at her home in Clinton.
Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, May 28, 2005, at St. Mary's Catholic Church Prince of Peace Parish. Visitation will be 5-9 p.m. Friday, May 27, 2005, at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig-Dennis A. Lemke Funeral Home & Crematory, where a 5 p.m. Vigil service will be conducted. Pallbearers will be Chad and Joe Stephenson, Randy, Brian and Jason Hensel, Ryan Whipple, Bradley and Matthew Keister, Jordan Woods, Alan Keister, Robert Keister and Nathan Barnhart. Burial will be at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Clinton.
She was born May 6, 1931, in Des Plaines, Ill., the daughter of Fred C. and Eyleen (Gallagher) Morgan. She was a 1949 St. Mary's High School Graduate.
She married Robert Keister on October 20, 1951, in Clinton at St. Mary's Catholic Church.
She was a member of Prince of Peace Parish and the Altar and Rosary Society and she was a member of Forrester's.
Jackie was a well-known hostess and cashier at Rastrelli's, the Ramada Inn and several other establishments in the area.
Survivors include her husband, Robert Keister, of Clinton; daughter, Linda (Toby) Whipple, of Muskego, Wis., daughter, Pamela (Andy) Tadlock, of Davenport, daughter, Mary (Jeff) Stephenson, of Clinton, son, Jeff (Rhonda) Keister, of Clinton, son, Dan (Sue) Keister, of Clinton, son, Kevin (Tracy) Keister, of Clinton, son, Tim (Jessi) Keister, of Clinton, and daughter, Jenny (Brian) Barnhart, of Olathe, Kan.; 22 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and sister, Janet (David) Cavanaugh, of Clinton. She was preceded in death by her parents, one son, one daughter, one granddaughter and one sister.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family for a charity of their choice. Published in the Quad-City Times on 5/26/2005.
