Wilbert 'Bud" Daniels, age 83, of Miles, Iowa, died Friday, September 30, 2005 at Mercy Hospital, Dubuque, Iowa. Funeral Services will be held 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, October 4, 2005 at Green Island Congregational Church in Green Island, Iowa. Burial will be in the Reeseville Cemetery, rural Sabula, Iowa. Memorials may be made to the Green Island Congregational Church. Friends may call from 5-7:00 p.m. Monday, October 3, 2005 at the Miller-Law-Jones Funeral Home in Preston. Bud was born February 12, 1922 in Bellevue, Iowa the son of George and Mary Ellen (Cassidy) Daniels. On October 30, 1946 Bud married Gladys Flor in Bellevue, Iowa.

Bud worked all of his life on a grain and livestock farm. He enjoyed hunting, fishing with his boat, trapping, riding motorcycles. He had a real passion for Baseball, he played for several years as a young man, during the 1940's and 1950's.

Bud will be deeply missed by his wife, Gladys; his daughter, Leanna (Charles) DeClercq of Clinton, Iowa; and one sister Rosella Ackerman of Clinton, Iowa.

Bud was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Merlin Eugene Daniels; two sisters, Velda Meyer and Nellie Meyer; three brothers, Leslie, Howard and Melvin Daniels.
