Thelma L. Hein, 96, of Fulton, Ill., formerly of Clinton, Iowa, died Friday, Nov. 19, 2004, at Harbor Crest Nursing Home. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, at the Pape Funeral Home with the Rev. Matthew Martens of Zion Lutheran Church officiating. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Springdale Cemetery, in Springdale, Iowa.Memorials may be made to the Harbor Crest Nursing Home or Zion Lutheran Church. She and her husband owned and operated the Hein Bakery in Clinton from 1938 to 1972.
Thelma is survived by two sons, Ray (Dolores) Hein, of Clinton, and Charles (Sylvia) Hein, of Geneseo, Ill; seven grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and a brother, Vernon (Berneice) Cook, of Clinton. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, a brother, and a sister.
