One of Clinton's oldest and most esteemed residents answered the final summons at 8 o'clock Tuesday evening at Mercy hospital, when Mrs. Margaret Kinney passed away after a week's illness, due to the infirmities of old age. Mrs. Kinney had reached the age of 84 years.

Born in County Leithrim, Ireland, Mrs. Kinney came to America in her youth and has made her home in Clinton since they year of 1865. Her husband died 16 years ago last November, and surviving her are two daughters, Mrs. John Maloney of Clinton and Mrs. Timothy Connors of Lyons, and three sons, Police Officer N. J. Walton and John Walton of Clinton, and Tim Kinney of Dixon, Ill.

During her long residence in Clinton Mrs. Kinney won the love and esteem of all who knew her, and her death is mourned by many friends.

The funeral will be held from St. Mary's church at 9 o'clock Friday morning, Monsignor McLaughlin officiating. Interment will be in St. Mary's cemetery.

The funeral of the late Mrs. Margaret Kinney was here at 9 o'clock this morning from the home of her oldest son, N. J. Walton, 940 Comanche avenue. Requiem high mass was celebrated at St. Mary's church. Monsignor McLaughlin the pastor officiating and preaching an eloquent funeral sermon. The pall bearers were all grandsons of the deceased, viz: William, Frank, Ray, Nate, Leonard and Edward Walton, and Morgan Maloney. Interment followed in St. Mary's cemetery. Many old friends of the deceased gathered at the church and followed the remains to their last resting place.

Among those from out of the city who were here to attend the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Tim Kinney and children, William F. Hogan, and J. J. Riley, of Dixon, Ill.
