Kenneth William Haley was born July 30 1930, in Sabula and attended local schools. He enlisted Aug. 7, 1947 in the marine corps and had been with the Frist Marine division in Korea for about one year, prior to his return home. He was wounded in action Sept 20 1950, for which he had been awarded the "Purple Heart" He also had three battle stars.

Surving are his father; one sister Mrs. Yappen ; his four brothers and maternal grandmother , Mrs Coon.
