Obituary for Ethel M. Maddasion
Ethel M. Maddasion, 90, of Camanche passed away Sunday, September 11, 2022 at the Alverno.

Ethel Marion Strang was born July 5, 1932 in Traversity City, Michigan, the daughter of Frank and Lucy (Davis) Stang. She married Vernon “Pete” Elmer Maddasion on November 11, 1950 in Traverse City, Michigan; he preceded her in death on October 31, 2003.

Ethel was a homemaker, she also provided daycare for many families over the years and did some housekeeping. She enjoyed playing bingo, doing puzzles, and playing (mostly winning) scat with her kids and grandchildren.

She is survived by her children: Kay Wesson of Oswego, Illinois, Deborah Jensen of Rochester, Minnesota, Vickie Killean of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Sheila (Wayne) Krainz of Camanche, Patricia (Jeff) Remington of DeWitt, Iowa, Vern (Mary) Maddasion of Clinton, Cindy (Steve) Paarmann of Davenport and Bonnie Maddasion of Clinton; 19 grandchildren; 32 great grandchildren; siblings: Joyce Maidens of Traversity, MI and Donald Strang of Kinglsey, MI.

Ethel was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, four brothers: Frank, Glen, Joseph and Amil Strang, four sisters Opal Turner, Florence Burton, Janet Baerlocher and Donna Evans, two half sisters Frances Lewis and Dorothy Wilder and her son-in-law Marvin Jensen.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the Alverno and to Mercy Hospice for their loving care of Ethel in these last few years.
