Raymond Lee Borrison, 86, of Mediapolis, Iowa, formerly of Camanche, died Saturday, September 3,
2022 at Prairie Ridge, Mediapolis.Memorial services will be held at 1PM, Monday, September 12, 2022 at the Camanche Chapel Snell-
Zornig. Visitation will be held from 12:00PM (Noon) until the service hour Monday at the Funeral Home.
Burial will be at the Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Per Raymond’s wishes, a “Celebration of Life” at the Imperial Lanes will follow the burial. The family encourages those attending to wear their favorite sports attire.Raymond was born April 1, 1936 in LaFarge, WI, the son of Robert and Irene (Best) Borrison. He was a
graduate of the LaFarge High School and attended college for one year after his military service.
Raymond was a United States Air Force veteran. He married Marlene Afdahl on June 30, 1957 in Ryder, ND. She died December 25, 2014.Raymond had been employed at DuPont for over 30 years, retiring in 1994. He was an avid fan of the Green Bay Packers, Chicago Cubs, and the Iowa Hawkeyes. One of his greatest pleasures was watching and supporting whatever team his sons and grandsons played for or coached. Raymond, along with several others started the Camanche Booster Club.
He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Camanche and the Clinton AMVETS.
Survivors include his sons, Dennis (LuAnn) Borrison of Mt. Vernon, Iowa and Todd (Trish) Borrison of
Mediapolis, Iowa; grandchildren, Brian (Emily) Borrison, Bradley (Michelle) Borrison and Cade and Kye Borrison, great-grandsons Kamden and Jace, and great-granddaughters Gwenith, Layne and Mya; sister-in-law Elaine (Donald) Alderman and several nieces and nephews.In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by parents, a brother and a sister.
Memorials may be given to the family to be designated later.
