Larry Judd, 82, of Clinton, passed away Wednesday, August 10, 2022 at MercyOne.

Funeral Services will be at 11:00 a.m., Monday, August 15, 2022 at Prince of Peace Catholic Church. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until the service time at the church. The Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes & Crematory is in charge of arrangements.

Larry Eugene Judd was born on March 28, 1940, in Clinton, Iowa, the son of Carroll and Vera (Stone) Judd. His early years were spent in Camanche. His family had a cabin in the Rock Creek Marina area. He moved to Clinton in the 9th grade, graduating from Clinton High School in 1958. Larry excelled in football, playing fullback, and track, running the high hurdles and the mile relay. He attended the University of Iowa and Bradley University. He married Carole “Susie” Dierks on August 20, 1960 in Clinton.

Larry was employed by International Paper Company for 32 years, retiring in 1995. He was a devoted family man; family was always his top priority. He cherished his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, attending many of their activities and events. He enjoyed his Wednesday rides with Abigail. He was an avid duck hunter, spending many Fall seasons hunting the river bottoms and corn fields. He was also an avid walleye and crappie fisherman. In later years he enjoyed Thursday morning breakfast with friends from the class of ’58.

Larry is survived by his wife, Susie of Clinton; his children, Kimberli (Paul) Johnston of Waukesha, Wisconsin, Kevin (Mary Jo) Judd, of Excelsior, Minnesota, and Scott Judd (Gerry Hardison) of Clinton; three grandchildren, Ryan, Kelly, and Abigail; four great-grandchildren, Jeremiah, Judah, Jonathan, and Anja-Olivette; one brother, Ronald (Diane) Judd of Pinetta, Florida, as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends. Larry was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Allen and Gregory.
