Martin H. Haley

Martin H. Haley, 55. of 1702 Roosevelt St., Died Monday at Mercy Hospital.

The funreal will be 1 p.m. Thursday in the Church of the Open Door with the Rev. James Machen officiating. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 to 9p.m Wednesday in the Schmitz Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Daniel Anderson, Neal Abbott, Carroll F.Johnson, Warren Hansen , Kevin Wiens, and Shane Nixon.

Mr Haley was born Aug 14, 1929 in Sabula, to Martin and Nettie (Coon) Haley. He married Dixie M. Thompson, July 10 1947. He served in the United States Navy from 1946-1950. He was a member of the Church of the Open Door and was a custodian for the Clinton Community School District retiring June 28, 1984, due to medical reason.

Survivors include his wife ; five daughters, Mrs. Kevin (Elizabeth) Wiens of Silvis, Ill., Mrs Joseph (Lois) Hartman, Mrs Shane (Tammy) Nixon, and Angela and April Haley ,all of Clinton; a son Danial of Clinton ;nine grandchildren ; a sister Mrs. Clifton (LaVonne) Yappen of Andrew, Iowa and three brothers, Donald and James , both of Clinton and Gerald (Skip)of Virgina
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother
