CLINTON-The funeral will be 12:30 p.m. Thursday in Pape Funeral Home for Vera J. harksen, 83, of the Alverno Health Care Facility.

She died Tuesday in the Alverno.

The Rev. Thomas Moore will officiate. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. today in the funeral home. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.

She was born Feb. 25, 1917, in Almont, to Douglas and Agnes Wessell McClintock. She married Donald "Pete" Harksen, Dec. 12, 1938, in DeWitt. He died in December 1989.

She was a homemaker.

She was a member of the Women of the Moose.

Survivors include four sisters, Mrs. Grace (Robert) Pape of Clinton, Mrs. Donna (James) Fitzpatrick of Spring Hill Fla., Mrs. Sharon (Tony) Hitpas of Caryle, Ill., and Kay Cunningham of rural Clinton; three brothers, George, Merle, and Frank McClintock, all of Clinton; and many nieces and nephews.
